Curriculum
We incorporate the preschool curriculum into our daily activities for fun and to prepare the older children for school. Each month we concentrate on a different theme. Specific units lend themselves to short field trips for fun and learning (ex: visit a fire station, post office, or police department when discussing helpers).
Some field trips we will walk if it is close enough or we will use transportation. Each child traveling with us will, of course, need parental permission and will be placed and secured in the proper car seat, safety gear and safety belt according to age appropriateness procedures.
Little Steps-New Beginnings is apart of an early learning program called FOCUS. We are currently working on our 5th star.
FOCUS is a preschool program with an emphasis on building social success for young children, ages 3-5, within a small group setting.
FOCUS allows us to provide a caring, responsive learning environment where children of all abilities learn through play and discovery.
Teachers and support staff
guide the child’s social-emotional
and behavioral growth by using evidence-based positive behavior strategies and instruction.
